General Instructional Program

for the 2024-25 School Year

Competent, compassionate instructors

Engleside hires academically qualified teachers who know Jesus Christ as their Savior and manifest godly character by their genuine care for their students. We count on our caring and experienced classroom teachers to expertly guide our students from their foundational years through their elementary classes. ECS limits classroom size to permit teachers to mentor children beyond the academic realm.

ECS encourages each of its fulltime teachers to pursue teacher certification by the American Association of Christian Schools and/or continuing education. Each of our teachers have successfully cleared state background checks and maintain AHA certifications for CPR and First Aid. ECS has MAT-certified staff on the premises to administer medications to students as necessary.

Age-appropriate academic instruction with Bible-based curriculum

Teachers implement proven curricula developed by Christian publishing companies such as A Beka Press and Bob Jones University Press to promote a Biblical worldview. ECS uses a phonics-based approach to reading and supplements this study with a focus on number skills at the lower elementary level. As students develop academically, we introduce formal studies in science, history, and social studies to broaden their reading base and expand their writing skills. ECS helps older students build digital literacy skills and learn responsible digital citizenship to complement their academic studies.

Engleside Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
