Extended Care

for the 2024-25 School Year

To accommodate parents’ schedules, Engleside operates separate extended care programs before and after school exclusively for students enrolled in our academic setting. ECS assesses additional fees to participants in these religiously exempt from licensure programs.

Before School Care (AM Care)

Engleside’s Before School Care program opens at 6:30 AM for student drop-off. Although the cafeteria is not open for business, students are permitted to eat their own breakfast during AM extended care. ECS staff will escort students to their classrooms shortly before 8:00 AM.

After School Care (PM Care)

Our PM Care program is an adult-supervised but unstructured time for students to do homework and to interact with each other. PM Care staff will gather students registered for After School Care during ECS dismissal time and provide supervision for them in the Fellowship Hall each afternoon. Students will have a brief time to eat a snack around 3:30 before heading outside if weather permits. Adults picking students up from the PM extended care program must present a photo ID to the ECS supervisor upon demand.

ECS provides a discounted rate for students picked up before 4:30 on a daily basis.

Religiously Exempt Child Daycare Center Notice

ECS operates its before and after-school care programs in compliance with VA law as a religiously exempt child daycare center. We voluntarily comply with all VA health, safety, and student-ratio regulations. The entire staff at Engleside have been cleared by DSS and state background checks. All adult staff members are CPR and First Aid-certified by the American Heart Association. MAT-certified staff are available to administer medications as necessary.
